Self.com interview

Hi fellow Rue fans! Sara has done an interview with Self.com and you can read it here. A video was also posted there at the interview page. I’ve added the video below in case it doesn’t work for anyone over there.

Also, as a fun bonus (and because I don’t want to make another post just for this), here’s a pic that was taken during Sara’s recent trip to New York City.

New Jenny Craig Commercial

Sara’s latest commercial for Jenny Craig has been posted on their site. You can view the commercial here, or just see below if you’d rather not go to their page. You really should go there if you can though. Give them some traffic too, right? Or not. Whichever. Hehe. By the way, I really like the color of the dress she’s wearing in this video. Not because she’s wearing it, mind you. It just happens to be my favorite color.

Is it just me, or does she sound like a valley girl when she says ‘food’ near the beginning? Hmmm…

Another JC vlog

Sara has a new video log up at the Jenny Craig site. The video can be viewed here at the site. I’ve also added it below in case, like I always say, anybody can’t seem to play videos from the JC site but can here.

This video log accompanies her last jlog post nicely. I let it play while I was doing my usual super multitasking on the computer while making food and playing with my kids, but from what I could tell, it is like the last blog post in video form, with a ton more info. And also with video of Sara Rue, so it’s that much better. I don’t have much to add here, other than Sara is looking amazing as she always does. You can watch it at the JC site here, or as mentioned above, you can watch it right here.

Some New Pics

Hello! I’ve received a few new pictures of Sara Rue out and about just before Valentine’s Day. I’ve added them to the 2nd Gallery which can be found on our Image Gallery page.  A big thank you goes out to Marisa who supplied these (also the captions). As a final thought, let me just say that the first pic here is my favorite of the three. It may even be my favorite pic of her that I’ve ever seen.

Sara Rue Jlog – Week 9

Hey there fellow Rue fans. There’s been another post on the JC site from Sara regarding her progress on their program. Here’s an excerpt (Oh yeah. I learned blockquotes!):

So, my week in a nutshell…I’m a year older and 3.8 pounds lighter.* I stuck to my menu and worked out really hard this week to give myself that 3.8 lb.* present…or is it lose that 3.8 lb.* present…you get the idea. HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME! xoxoxoxoxo

First, I’d like to say that she used ‘3.8 pounds’ 3 times. And I’m sure she’s not the one adding the asterisk (which by the way, means “*Clients following our program, on average, lose 1-2 pounds per week.”). Just strikes me as odd to use the same thing so much. It makes sense, and probably sounds better in sitcom format. The other thing I wanted to add was this… Her birthday was something like 20 days ago.Are these posts that delayed? It really doesn’t matter I suppose. I just think it’s a bit strange as well.

Happy Birthday to us!

Hello everyone! Just wanted to say that the site has now officially been here for one year today. Kinda cool since it’s Valentine’s Day and all. I’ve unfortunately been quite busy the past few days so I don’t have a cool ‘present’ to add here, but we’ll pretend that the last post of video clips was the gift. Sound good? Cool.

Happy birthday to the site. I hope you visitors have enjoyed what I’ve been doing here, and hopefully the site will continue to grow throughout the next year.

Happy Birthday! Sara Rue’s Jlog – Week 7

Another blog post at the JC site?!? Wow. I think that every week I’ll be surprised by how quickly time is going by.

First, let’s all say a big Happy Birthday to Sara. Happy Birthday!!! She had her 31st yesterday (Tuesday) and I trust it was a good one.

Onto the post! Here’s a snippet:

Overall, I’d say this week was somewhat humbling, but ultimately inspiring. I faced some difficult challenges in sticking to the Jenny plan, didn’t succeed at some of them, but didn’t go off the rails like I might have in the past. As a result, I didn’t lose any weight this week… (but still at 20.8 lbs*!) Hey, at least I didn’t gain any. Overall, I’m still heading in the right direction and that has me feeling o.k. about myself.

This reminded me of a line from the pilot episode of Less Than Perfect. Claude says to Will, “You don’t think you’re perfect, but that makes you even more perfect.” I’d say it’s good to have a tough week. Makes you realize that this will take more work than you thought, and it will be even more rewarding in the end! Oh yeah. You can read the full post at Sara’s section of the Jenny Craig site.

Note: You may want to dump your cookies every now and then after visiting the site. I keep seeing Jenny ads popping up everywhere now. Some sites must have a script or something that checks for cookies to decide what ads to show. Unless you like the ads. That’s up to you. ;-)

Sara Rue Jlog – Week 1

Hey!

I checked the Jenny Craig site to see if there actually will be blogs posted, and it seems that there are! Here’s an excerpt from the Sara’s week 1 blog (FYI, Jlog = Jenny Craig blog. Why? Because I can. That’s why.):

Anyway, I’ve made a pact with myself, with Jenny Craig, and now with all of you to share my ENTIRE Jenny experience on here. I really hope I can inspire some people with this journey because that would really be the icing on the cake! Uh-oh, cake. What was that – four seconds before I mentioned food?

It’s good to see that Sara has a sense of humor when it comes to her issues with food. I think that’s an important part of any change. You have to be able to laugh about past mistakes so they don’t bother you too much.

Anyway, that’s all this post is about. I’ll post updates here as I see them show up on the Jenny Craig site, in case anyone wants to follow along with Sara’s progress. Volumetricize? Nice. Making nouns into snazzy verbs for the win!
