A quick post to let you know that there’s a new jlog over at the JC site. Here’s a quick cut:

Now, I did actually have the weekend (actually, it was Sunday and Monday) off so I wasn’t completely without free time. So what did I do on Sunday? Um, I met up with Christopher Ross Lane (who trained Valerie for her marathon) and ran six miles… in a row! This is getting nuts. SIX MILES?! Who does that?

Before this part, Sara mentions she’s lost 45.8 pounds. First off, why do they have to be so specific. Just round it. It’ll make the world a better place. Really. Haha. And Secondly, 46 poounds? That’s a lot. I wonder when she’s going to stop? Obviously the folks at Jenny Craig and her doctor will hopefully let her know when she’s lost enough. Or at least they better.

Don’t forget… Dieting can be just as addictive as food can be.

Also, I’m working on setting up a new video app to use on the video pages. It’ll be neater looking than several video windows on one page. Here’s a sample (hope it works!). I’m working on getting thumbnail images so we don’t have to look at those black boxes all the time. Should be fininshed updating this in the next couple weeks:

Hello everyone. 2 posts in one day! Wow. I must be feeling guilty for having neglected the updates lately. Haha. Anyway, I found the following video recently showing a little bit of the filming of Sara’s latest commercial for Jenny Craig. I found it from the Superiorpics.com forums (thanks PieMan). I wish I knew where this came from, and also if there are more out there! Hehe. Anyway, here’s the vid. Enjoy it.

Also, in site related news, I’m going off on vacation starting tomorrow the 15th (also my birthday. Yay!!!!) and won’t be back for 10 days. Hopefully Sara doesn’t do anything super important during that time. I’ll try to check my sources on occasion just in case.

One thing to note is the OC Hillel Charity Poker Tournament on April 25th. Held at the Bicycle Casino, Sara is currently expected to attend. More information can be found at the OC Hillel Charity Poker Tournament site.

I would also like to note that this is in memory of Bruce Manning, the gentleman who was kind enough to allow me the use of Sara’s pictures from last year. RIP Bruce.

Another content update! I seem to be slacking off on these lately. Have to get back on that I suppose. Anyway, I’ve added some new pics to the Image Gallery (Gallery 02, to be specific). These were taken yesterday on the 28th at the Unveiled event in Los Angeles. It can only be assumed that Sara attended to get ideas for her upcoming wedding to fiancé Kevin Price.

Sara Rue has posted another Jlog over at JennyCraig.com. It’s week 6 already! Seems to be flying by. I wonder if it feels the same for her? Here’s my favorite part of this latest entry:

Sorry to talk your ear off, but I just want you to know that this not just some diet, it’s lifestyle change. I wanted to have a great little trip, with fun dinners out, and a lot of relaxation and I was able to do so without paying a price for it on the scale. Now that’s the lifestyle I WANT!! I feel like I finally might be figuring some stuff out. It’s pretty exciting.

I feel it’s important to also note that this post features what I believe to be the longest parenthesized(?) phrase I’ve ever encountered. I’d include that portion here as well, but I’ll let the reader try to find it.

In other news, it seems that I was correct about ABC skipping an episode of Eastwick when they had chosen which one to show last. The missing episode, titled ‘Red, Bath and Beyond’ was aired in the UK. I will say now that it makes it even more evident that the show had really hit it’s stride and found a comfortable balance between drama, comedy, and suspense. It’s unfortunate ABC pulled it. However, it’s gone for now, and I’ll try to get a clip up (Sara is only in one scene) sometime soon.

Some brief site content news. I’ve added a clip to the videos section from Season 3 of Less Than Perfect. This clip also features one of my favorite poker pros, Phil Gordon. So, here’s is what’s new in the public eye of Sara Rue. Is that right? Maybe FOR rather than OF? Hmmm… Anyway! There’s a new Jlog over at her little slice of Jenny Craig’s pie (is that a triple-entendre?!?) so be sure to check it out. As is the norm for this page, here is a brief clip from the post:

My consultant Michele constantly reminds me how important it is to reward myself for all my wins on this journey with non-food things, like…check it…a super awesome manicure!!! These nails will last a heck of a lot longer than a glob of sugar ever will. Plus, they’re SUHWEET!!

In future tv spot news, Sara has announced on her twitter account (@sararueforreal) that she will be in an upcoming episode of the ABC show Private Practice. I’ll be keeping an eye out for that in the next few weeks, and will post when I know when it will be airing.

Now for the site news. Nothing big, but I’m going to start working on a flash application for the videos section. No clue when it’ll be finished, if I can even get it to work how I want it to (I’ve never created in flash before). So, I’ll post an update when/if I get it going.

How does a fan site owner get an interview with the subject of their website? Hmmm…

I found this recent interview done with Sara Rue, and it’s exactly the sort of thing I’ve been looking for. Some questions about her and what she’s been up to lately (though I already knew most of it). I especially enjoyed the bits where she spoke more about how she feels about acting. It’s good to know that actors (and actresses) are normal people who have jobs, though I’m sure their jobs are more fun than most. Here’s a brief excerpt from the interview, regarding her appearance on ‘House Arrest with Andy Dick’:

“Doing Andy’s show is like doing performance art. It’s 80% planned but there are moments where you kind of don’t know what is going to happen. The thing about Andy, what he thinks is hysterical is and it kind of is, is that I’m a good girl. I don’t really do anything too bad. I’m pretty normal. He of course, in his life, has been kind of the opposite representation of that image. So he loves that we’re actually friends and that people find it appalling when he is rude to me. Which I also think is funny too so he said, “Ok, we’re going to do this thing and I’m going to be really angry that you’re working and I’m not and we’re going to talk about it. I haven’t had that many women on so I’m just going to sexually harass you.””

In some brief site related news, I realize I’ve not yet made a video page for Eastwick. Seems silly of me to not have done it previously. I’ll spend some time in the near future to make sure everything is where it belongs.

I would like to remind anyone who happens across this page about the site’s YouTube page where you can also view most of the video clips that I put up here. And finally (I started a sentence with and? Nice.), you can follow Sara on twitter @SaraRueForReal and don’t forget you can get updates for the site as well @SaraRueFan.

Just wanted to put this up here. I noticed someone had made a graphic for sararue.com and posted it on a site sometime last week. And it looks like the domain for that site has finally been relinquished to the law group that represents Sara Rue’s interests. If you were to go to the site, you would see the afformentioned graphic, though nothing else is there as of yet.

This brings me to my qualms with Google and SEO (Search Engine Optimization). I won’t explain what the deal really is, but let’s just say that this site has bounced around on the 2nd and 3rd page of results when using the search term “sara rue”. I guess that’s really not a problem, though I’ve done what I could think of to keep it as high in the results as I can.If you search for ’sara rue’ on yahoo, this site is the 3rd result, which is an excellent spot for it. Then as the official site is completed I would expect it to rank above this page, but this page would stay near the top results as I believe it should.

The issue I’m having is that sararue.com is now listed on the first page of results on Google. How is it possible that Google’s system believes the website you’re looking at is less “important” to people searching the string “sara rue” than sararue.com when that site has no content yet… and this site is chock full of it?

It’s not really a big deal. This is just a small fan site, and the other one will be an official site. SO yes, it should definitely rank higher. But not yet. Not until it at least has some material. Some information. Anything actually pertaining to the subject which it will at some point be about. Right now, it’s a picture. Of a flower. With the site name. But I digress.

The point of this was to complain a bit about the efficacies of Googles content gathering system, to express my struggle with trying to make this page more easily seen by the people who be interested in it, and to spread the word that yes, finally, it seems there will be an official Sara Rue website. It took them long enough.

The other reason for this as to put up another clip. This one is yet again from the Lifetime show The Division. This episode is titled ‘Acts of Betrayal’. Enjoy!
