It’s time for another post! We’ll start with the latest post on the Jenny Craig site. Week 26 now, so it’s officially half a year. Here a clip from the post:

I lost DOS MAS lb’s* this week on Jenny. And, yes, I am also bilingual this week as I just got a new pair of glasses, which make me look amazingly brilliant and give me the ability to speak several languages.

In other Rue News (This site could’ve been called Rue News. lolol), ABC is finally going to show the last two unaired episodes of Eastwick. These will now be out of order and anyone who catches them without seeing the rest will be utterly confused regarding the storyline. Especially when they jump from one episode to the next and things happened in between. Anyway, These episodes are set to air on July 10th at 9 PM EST, running back to back.Oddly enough, according to the ABC website, they’re going to air in the opposite order, episode 13 first, and then episode 11. Wow, ABC. Just wow.

Finally, tv viewers get to hear Sara Rue exclaim, “That scream that I heard? That was an orgasm scream!”

Just a quick post to tell everyone that I’ve added another scene to the Eastwick videos page. This scene is from the last episode, which as of now remains unaired in the US. Sara Rue has posted another Jlog over at JennyCraig.com. It’s week 6 already! Seems to be flying by. I wonder if it feels the same for her? Here’s my favorite part of this latest entry:

Sorry to talk your ear off, but I just want you to know that this not just some diet, it’s lifestyle change. I wanted to have a great little trip, with fun dinners out, and a lot of relaxation and I was able to do so without paying a price for it on the scale. Now that’s the lifestyle I WANT!! I feel like I finally might be figuring some stuff out. It’s pretty exciting.

I feel it’s important to also note that this post features what I believe to be the longest parenthesized(?) phrase I’ve ever encountered. I’d include that portion here as well, but I’ll let the reader try to find it.

In other news, it seems that I was correct about ABC skipping an episode of Eastwick when they had chosen which one to show last. The missing episode, titled ‘Red, Bath and Beyond’ was aired in the UK. I will say now that it makes it even more evident that the show had really hit it’s stride and found a comfortable balance between drama, comedy, and suspense. It’s unfortunate ABC pulled it. However, it’s gone for now, and I’ll try to get a clip up (Sara is only in one scene) sometime soon.

Some brief site content news. I’ve added a clip to the videos section from Season 3 of Less Than Perfect. This clip also features one of my favorite poker pros, Phil Gordon. Jenny Craig, Sara Rue, Jlog, Week 4… What do these have in common? This post! Ha!

So, Sara has put up another Jlog on the Jenny Craig site. I think that she had done the one for Week 3 only a day or two prior, but I’m really not watching as closely as I probably should be. You know… Since I’m running a fan site for her and all!

Enough of that. On to the good stuff! Here’s a snippet from the post:

Now, here’s how I’m going to keep moving in the right direction: First, I’m now doing 100 crunches five times a week! (Don’t worry…I spread it out over the course of the day…puhlease:) Another thing I should mention about my exercising is that I work out AT HOME. Maybe as I get closer to my goal I’ll rock some spandex at a spin class, but lunging in my backyard is about as public as I’m gonna get right now!!

I’m a big fan of the humor that she’s putting in these updates. Though I’m not a fan of spandex. Not on anyone, even her. Hehe.

So, I have a clip from the last episode of Eastwick that ABC aired. I do think they skipped episode 11 and went with number 12, and probably because it seemed to have more of an ending for the series. There were a couple new “Huh?” moments, but the ending seemed like an ending, and I’m glad they did that.

It’s true. Sara is the newest spokesperson for Jenny Craig.A brief clip from the press release:

“Losing this weight goes beyond just what it will mean physically. It’s about establishing emotional stability in my life. My weight has been on a rollercoaster since I was a young girl, but I’m committed to gaining control of this aspect of my life,” said Rue. “My hope is that my story may inspire other women who are facing similar battles to seek help and take control. Through a newfound commitment, my family’s support and the one-on-one personal consultant from Jenny Craig, I’m confident that I will be able to get off this rollercoaster once and for all,” she added.

Sara tweeted the following on Wednesday morning – “Big day (yikes) I hope all my Twitter peeps will be supportive… So … Here’s the news. I’m the new Jenny Craig spokesperson. Omg! :0″

In my journey of trying to gather what information I could for this site when I first set it up, I came upon a bunch of posts, mostly older, regarding what people thought about her weight loss between 2005-2008 or so. Some people preferred her before she lost the weight, some preferred after. I would say that I prefer whichever makes her happy, and right now she’s doing what makes her happy. Like her looking however you want, but please support her in her decision to take this on. It’s what she wants!

Now for the Eastwick news. Not good news, particularly, but news nonetheless. It seems that ABC has decided to pull the final 2 airing episodes from the schedule and move Ugly Betty (a show I’ve never even watched) into it’s time slot. We may still be able to see these final episodes during the summer if they choose to run them, but who knows? The show is starting to get truly interesting, and I think it’s unfortunate that so much time was spent building up to the episodes where the girls start to admit and even embrace their powers, but I’m not a professional critic, so I won’t pretend to be so here.

Also, I received an email from someone with another plan to save the show, though it seems ABC certainly won’t bring it back if they’re pulling the last 2 recorded eps. Here are the contents of the email, in case anyone out there wants to give it some thought:

If you want to see more of Sara on TV, help us try to save Eastwick. I've
compiled a list of the top advertisers for the first 8 episodes of Eastwick.
Please write to them and thank them for sponsoring the show! Maybe they can
convince ABC to renew Eastwick!

I’ve been listening to The Cure lately, but then again, when haven’t I?

Alright. The second Wednesday has gone by without Eastwick, so it should be returning next week. For those of you who read this and are curious, no it hasn’t been completely canceled yet. The show will still (for now) run through the rest of the episodes which were filmed. If my count is correct, there are six more episodes to be shown, and then that will be it. So it hasn’t been canceled as much as it just hasn’t been continued.

It’s also been brought to my attention that there is an effort in progress to get ABC to pick the show back up. I personally don’t think these online efforts do much, but it can’t hurt to try, right? You can go the the @SaveEastwick twitter page and from there follow links to sign the online petition, or link through to the ABC feedback page and you can write about your desire for the show to continue.

Other than that… I don’t really have much to post here. Henry’s Crime is, maybe, being filmed partially in Buffalo here in WNY. But that’s really got nothing to do with Sara Rue, does it? But this does. Here’s a clip from the last episode of Eastwick, mentioning Keanu Reeves, who happens to be starring in Henry’s Crime. So it all works out then. Cool.

How does a fan site owner get an interview with the subject of their website? Hmmm…

I found this recent interview done with Sara Rue, and it’s exactly the sort of thing I’ve been looking for. Some questions about her and what she’s been up to lately (though I already knew most of it). I especially enjoyed the bits where she spoke more about how she feels about acting. It’s good to know that actors (and actresses) are normal people who have jobs, though I’m sure their jobs are more fun than most. Here’s a brief excerpt from the interview, regarding her appearance on ‘House Arrest with Andy Dick’:

“Doing Andy’s show is like doing performance art. It’s 80% planned but there are moments where you kind of don’t know what is going to happen. The thing about Andy, what he thinks is hysterical is and it kind of is, is that I’m a good girl. I don’t really do anything too bad. I’m pretty normal. He of course, in his life, has been kind of the opposite representation of that image. So he loves that we’re actually friends and that people find it appalling when he is rude to me. Which I also think is funny too so he said, “Ok, we’re going to do this thing and I’m going to be really angry that you’re working and I’m not and we’re going to talk about it. I haven’t had that many women on so I’m just going to sexually harass you.””

In some brief site related news, I realize I’ve not yet made a video page for Eastwick. Seems silly of me to not have done it previously. I’ll spend some time in the near future to make sure everything is where it belongs.

I don’t know what prompted the tweet from Sara Rue (if she saw the site or just recent posts on the twitter account, etc. ), but it’s super sweet and super cool of her to say that. To say that this surprised me would be a HUGE understatement, though it was an excellent surprise indeed.

So… Where to start? Well, I guess I already did up there. It’s been quite some time since I last posted anything. I believe two episodes of Eastwick have gone by, both featuring a brief little musical number with Sara and costar Lindsay Price. Here’s a quick sample for those who may have missed it and for some reason haven’t gone to ABC.com to watch it:

I’ve also gone into my archives and decided to share one of my favorite audio clips of Sara. This is from an episode (it’s still an episode if it’s on radio, right?) of Love Line from just over 6 years ago. This aired on September 28, 2003. One of my favorite comedic parts of the show. I hope everyone else enjoys it as well:

I’m not sure about adding an audio section, as I don’t have much that’s audio only, so I don’t know if I’ll find a permanent place for that little tidbit on the site.

I’ve also scanned an article from Parade Magazine that I’ve had laying around for a bit. It’s from 2003, so it’s mostly about Sara’s show ‘Less Than Perfect’. I tried to keep it a decent size and still readable, so hopefully it is. Click the pic to see full size:
