Sara Rue Jvlog 02

Ok. Checking the Jenny Craig site out of boredom has yielded a nice surprise! Sara has another video log up! I’m calling the Jvlogs, though not as snazzy as Jlog for the written ones. Oh well.

The point here is, this is Sara, stripped down and, quite frankly, owning it. Other posts have mentioned her putting her weight issues out there, but nothing really shows it like I think this video does. Here’s a link to the original site with the Jvlog, so please visit there. If for some reason that video doesn’t work, you can try watching it below this post.

I’m not a girl, nor am I concerned with my weight (though I definitely should be), but I applaud Sara for going for this and putting it out there for everyone to follow. Pardon my french, but that takes balls. Chick balls, in this case (does that mean it takes ovaries?).

Anyway, again, check out the video at the Jenny Craig site, or if it doesn’t work you can watch it here. Look below the video afterward for a fun bonus!

Sara states in the video, “In fact, one of my very first lines on tv was something about how my character didn’t wanna go to school because all the kids were making fun of her weight.” In case you want to watch what she’s referring to, please watch below! :-)

It’s a perfect day for letting go

I’ve been listening to The Cure lately, but then again, when haven’t I?

Alright. The second Wednesday has gone by without Eastwick, so it should be returning next week. For those of you who read this and are curious, no it hasn’t been completely canceled yet. The show will still (for now) run through the rest of the episodes which were filmed. If my count is correct, there are six more episodes to be shown, and then that will be it. So it hasn’t been canceled as much as it just hasn’t been continued.

It’s also been brought to my attention that there is an effort in progress to get ABC to pick the show back up. I personally don’t think these online efforts do much, but it can’t hurt to try, right? You can go the the @SaveEastwick twitter page and from there follow links to sign the online petition, or link through to the ABC feedback page and you can write about your desire for the show to continue.

Other than that… I don’t really have much to post here. Henry’s Crime is, maybe, being filmed partially in Buffalo here in WNY. But that’s really got nothing to do with Sara Rue, does it? But this does. Here’s a clip from the last episode of Eastwick, mentioning Keanu Reeves, who happens to be starring in Henry’s Crime. So it all works out then. Cool.

Just a few things

How does a fan site owner get an interview with the subject of their website? Hmmm…

I found this recent interview done with Sara Rue, and it’s exactly the sort of thing I’ve been looking for. Some questions about her and what she’s been up to lately (though I already knew most of it). I especially enjoyed the bits where she spoke more about how she feels about acting. It’s good to know that actors (and actresses) are normal people who have jobs, though I’m sure their jobs are more fun than most. Here’s a brief excerpt from the interview, regarding her appearance on ‘House Arrest with Andy Dick’:

“Doing Andy’s show is like doing performance art. It’s 80% planned but there are moments where you kind of don’t know what is going to happen. The thing about Andy, what he thinks is hysterical is and it kind of is, is that I’m a good girl. I don’t really do anything too bad. I’m pretty normal. He of course, in his life, has been kind of the opposite representation of that image. So he loves that we’re actually friends and that people find it appalling when he is rude to me. Which I also think is funny too so he said, “Ok, we’re going to do this thing and I’m going to be really angry that you’re working and I’m not and we’re going to talk about it. I haven’t had that many women on so I’m just going to sexually harass you.””

You can read the full interview here. I’ve also added the Andy Dick webisode below for anyone who missed it the first time around.

In some brief site related news, I realize I’ve not yet made a video page for Eastwick. Seems silly of me to not have done it previously. I’ll spend some time in the near future to make sure everything is where it belongs.

I would like to remind anyone who happens across this page about the site’s YouTube page where you can also view most of the video clips that I put up here. And finally (I started a sentence with and? Nice.), you can follow Sara on twitter @SaraRueForReal and don’t forget you can get updates for the site as well @SaraRueFan.

I believe that’s all for now. Don’t forget to enjoy a Halloween themed Eastwick episode tomorrow night (Wednesday) on ABC!

Fun stuff!

First off, from twitter:

RT @SARARUEFORREAL Um !! Lukan B kinda rules! Im just sayin’!! I think he is my biggest fan !! SO SWEET!!! Holy Crap!!!! Thanks Lukan!! AKA-@SaraRueFan cute!!!

I don’t know what prompted the tweet from Sara Rue (if she saw the site or just recent posts on the twitter account, etc. ), but it’s super sweet and super cool of her to say that. To say that this surprised me would be a HUGE understatement, though it was an excellent surprise indeed. :-D

So… Where to start? Well, I guess I already did up there. It’s been quite some time since I last posted anything. I believe two episodes of Eastwick have gone by, both featuring a brief little musical number with Sara and costar Lindsay Price. Here’s a quick sample for those who may have missed it and for some reason haven’t gone to ABC.com to watch it:

I’ve also gone into my archives and decided to share one of my favorite audio clips of Sara. This is from an episode (it’s still an episode if it’s on radio, right?) of Love Line from just over 6 years ago. This aired on September 28, 2003. One of my favorite comedic parts of the show. I hope everyone else enjoys it as well:

I’m not sure about adding an audio section, as I don’t have much that’s audio only, so I don’t know if I’ll find a permanent place for that little tidbit on the site.

I’ve also scanned an article from Parade Magazine that I’ve had laying around for a bit. It’s from 2003, so it’s mostly about Sara’s show ‘Less Than Perfect’. I tried to keep it a decent size and still readable, so hopefully it is. Click the pic to see full size:

And finally, there’s been an official trailer released for the movie ‘Not Since You’. If you have facebook, you can watch it at the Not Since You facebook page. In case you don’t, you can watch a smaller version of the trailer right here:

Alright then. I believe that’s enough for now. I have a few other things I could add, but this is enough for today’s post. Don’t forget to watch the next episode of Eastwick Wednesday night on ABC! Until next time…

Eastwick Impressions

I just watched Eastwick, and here are a few things that I thought of it.

The beginning was fun. It was light-hearted, fairly fast paced, and most of the jokes seemed to be crammed into the few minutes that it spanned. Also we got to see Sara Rue, so… bonus.

The rest of the show seemed kind of… I don’t know. It slowed down a LOT after the beginning sequence of scenes. THere were also a few lines that made no sense to me. The one that stands out to me is Rebecca Romjin saying, “What a weird day. Would you ladies like to get drunk?” This stands out because not enough had happened in my mind to consider it a ‘weird’ day, and the ‘drunk’ line makes no sense to me at the point where it’s said.

After this, things seem to go at the same general pace from there on, so I wasn’t very interested. Then again, I’m sure 30 year old males aren’t exactly the key demographic for this show. Here’s to hoping that the show get funnier as it goes, because I’d like to laugh before I head off for bed.

I’m not going to spend more time criticizing the show, because this isn’t that sort of site. So… Here’s a clip from the intro with Sara Rue as Penny and Lindsay Price as, ummm (checking IMDB), Joanna. Hopefully the episode will be available to watch on ABC.com soon, so keep an eye over there for it to show up in case you missed it.

Map of the World

A couple clips now up from the 1999 movie Map of the World starring Sigourney Weaver. Sara plays a ‘cell mate’ in this movie, and uses her crazy good emotional acting, specifically in the first clip. Here’s a second clip which she’s technically only seen for a short time, but she’s the only one talking so I counted it.

/media/map02.mp4

In the next few days or so I’m hoping to have some clips up from the Lifetime drama The Division. Trying to work out some sync issues I’m having with them and then they can get up here too. Until then, enjoy the clip above and don’t forget to visit the video section of the site for other clips. Adding more every week, so check back often, or even better, follow us on Twitter! Thanks!

House Arrest

It’s finally here. The Sara Rue webisode of House Arrest with Andy Dick. I have the video in the videos section of this site, but first try the official site. If that doesn’t work for whatever reason, then feel free to visit the video in our section. The official site has a larger video though, so definitely try that one first.

Very brief recap: They talk about Eastwick, Andy does some Jack Nicholson impersonations, Sara mentions selling a movie (presumably the social networking teen thriller), and there’s a dog. Fill in the blanks with some fairly typical Andy Dick moments (also some strange editing), and there’s the show. Hopefully everyone enjoys it as much as I did.

“Do you think that makes the ecomony suck?”

Hey Sara Rue fans! I’ve just added a couple clips from the movie Idiocracy to the site’s video section. I’ve been sitting on this for a while now since she has such a small role in the movie, but I think these are the best clips with her at least talking instead of just being pretty and not saying anything. Here’s one of the clips:

/media/idiocracy02.mp4

Don’t forget that Sara is supposed to be on House Arrest with Andy Dick on the 30th. I’ll be posting a link to the video as soon as it is up and probably hosting the video here as well in case anyone loses or can’t find the link.

Also, just for fun, here’s a quick list of releases I’m waiting for. Things that Sara Rue has/will be in but have yet to either be completed, released, written or filmed:

Dream Crushers, Not Since You, Eastwick, and For Christ’s Sake.
